sonic fest
just decided that i should blog today finally... oh wells... it has been a great 3 days. I enjoyed just sitting at the feet of God.. no duty.. no post.. just me and God.
wells.. it will hits me hard that God cares for me even with the simplest thing! I just requested small insignificant prayer to God and he answers it in the way that i've never expected..
even if it is just a small request of a choice of song.. He answers it.
With all i am
Into your hands
I commit again

In the palm of your hand

the reason that i sing

I have collate the sermon messages and the lessons i've learnt at the conference... at sonicfest.
hmmm.. let's start from Day One.
Pastor Glenn gave an opening speech of introducing why this year is so small scale.. from a 3000 people worship hall to a 300 people big programme.. its because God has called them to look at their roots once again.
Looking at their roots meant to check ourselves and find out where is our roots growing on? is it growing in the word of god? the living stream... wells.. its a great time for us all to turn to our bibles and spend that quality time with God again!
i believe.. that God has called this generation to do sth for him.. something special.. something important to him..
we are to start preparing.. be busy in preparing...!
Day Two
Pastor Dean Rush.. shared with us that God has a plan for us. this is definitely not an unfamiliar phrase to us esp.. after 40 days of purpose.. and in Jeremiah 29 He says that He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you. So in God we really have a great future.
so how come not everyone of us hear what God has to say about the plans he has in our lives. simple. check out these criterias:
God will use willing and ready hearts for his work
God is looking for people willing to risk it all for him
God is looking at people whom will pick up their gifts
God will use people that are willing to take up opportunities in front of them
did you hit all the criterias above?
God has promised in 1 Cor 15:58 that our work in him is not in vain. so we need to Hope in the Lord. Trust that he will change the world.. trust that God's vision will be fulfilled!
So here's the challenge: To take responsibility in saving souls and owning the vision of God!
Day Two Night
I was just thinking about what are the 3 r's that Pastor Daniel Wee gave.. maybe what i rememberd is not very accurate but something lidat la.. haa..
Reflect: One live, Live it. (M1) haa.. yup think about how you have lived? have you been living a dead life? a life that means nothing at all.. no impact made to people.. no legacy left behind...
Imagine when you are at your death bed.. what really matters is the most at that point of time? It is probrably the most important thing in your life!
Risk: ask yourself a question.. is God real? so if he is not real.. what ever you are serving now is just rubbish! or if he is real.. you have personally experienced him.. you know that he cannot be fake! then.. what are you doing??? have you done anything differently because God is real?
we have to learn to take risk for God
we have to throw away the mentality of someone else will do it for God
we have to learn abt what God wants us to do and put it into action
we have to understand that others may find us wierd and abnormal.. but you have to be clear that it is for God...
Repent: Where will Jesus be found today?
If you want to meet Jesus more.. Go to where he will be found most... remember he is a friend of sinners.. the poor and the needy!
Do something worth doing.. start your work.. in Him today..!

Day Three
The speaker - Joseph Chean
He speaks of realising that service without real walk with God is fruitless. Be convicted that you have issues in life that has to be change!
Learning point from his personal testimony:
To love God again just as his child.. a new believer kind of Love!
To dig into God's word for myself instead of learning everything through someone else's teaching and relevation!
God is love, He cannot not love! If he stop loving.. he ceases to be God
To sweep all things (issues with yourself) under the carpet is the beginning of the end!
To ignore things that are important will one day be a trap to us
To walk with God is more important than serving God
We have to be authentic in our life and giving
below are some verses he gave us to help us reflect and think and understand ourselves and God better.. let's take some time to read and meditate on it!
Zephaniah 3 :17
17 The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.
--- Question --- What song would God sing to you to show his love for you?
Psalm 139 : 17-18
17 How precious to [Or concerning] me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
--- Question --- What do you think God are the thots that God think about you constantly? how about constant Good thots? That's why he can think about it all the time!
Psalm 25:14
14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.
--- Statement --- He shares things with whom he trusts!
Ask God is there is something that You want to share with me?
In Genesis 3: 8-9
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
--- like wise, God is looking for you? he ask.. where are you?? where are you?? where are you?? like a parent looking anxiously for his child.. he asked.. where are you?
John 17:3
3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Jeremiah 9:23-24
23This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
24 but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
Matthew 7:21-23
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
